Torre Montgó


Montgó Tower was constructed as a defence against pirates to protect the fishermen of L’Escala Built in 1598 on top of Montgó Mountain, it has been restored and made suitable to be visited. It is one of the buildings in L’Escala declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest (BCIN).

Thanks to visits organised by L’Escala Museum, you can learn about the anecdotes and the stories of pirates on the Costa Brava in an unbeatable viewpoint.
